VALENTINE’S DAY!
Our class will exchange Valentines this Friday, February 12th. If your child
would like to participate, please make sure he or she brings a card for each
member of our class. (22) Have your child sign each card, but please do not
address them with children’s names.
MATH AND SCIENCE NIGHT CHANGE!!!
Due to the Super Bowl and the Saints Parade, Math and Science Night has been
rescheduled. It has been moved to March 16th. Gallery Night will be moved
to May 4th. PTA meetings will be held on March 16th and May 4th. If you
have already paid for dinner, your money will be reimbursed.
MES students are participating in Jump Rope for Heart. In addition to
participating in a variety of jump rope activities to increase individual
heart health, students will be learning about how their heart works and how
to take care of it through physical activity and nutrition. All students
have received a donation packet with information about incentives. Donations
will go to the American Heart Association and benefit programs to educate
adult and youth about living a healthy lifestyle. These activities will take
place during our class’ regular P.E. time. Packets are due on February 23rd.

What's Happening:
MATH: Two-digit addition with regrouping
SPELLING: Words with-oi and - oy
LANGUAGE ARTS: We will read “Pushing Up the Sky”. Our comprehension skill
will be to identify the problem and solution. We will use the pronouns: I
and me, we and us.
