Math: This week we will continue our measurement & data unit. Students will
be using inches, feet, yards, & miles. We will also create surveys and graph
the data. Don't forget to continue to study multiplication facts.
Multiplication fact tests will be given each week.
Reading: The story is BoomTown. Our weekly skill is sequencing. Vocabulary
words are sidewalks, blossomed, grumbled, wailed, lonesome, and traders.
Language: In writer's workshop, students will write descriptive paragraphs
about Mardi Gras. The language skill will focus on pronouns.
Social Studies: This week the students will be working on Louisiana
government and researching famous people from Louisiana. Don’t forget to
continue working on the Presidential Report!

**The students have a homework notebook with their vocabulary words and
spelling words. Any written homework should be done in this notebook.
** Students should start reviewing addition and subtraction facts each night.

** Students can bring a healthy snack for the morning. Also, students can
bring a water bottle to keep at their desk.
