English II Lesson Plans

THE DUE DATES AND ASSIGNMENTS ARE TENTATIVE AND CAN BE CHANGED WITHOUT ONLINE NOTICE BUT WILL ALWAYS BE COMMUNICATED TO THE STUDENTS IN THE CLASSROOM VIA VERBAL COMMUNICATION AND POSTED ON THE BOARD.

OPTIONAL- BONUS VOCAB ASSIGNMENT HAS BEEN ADDED UNDER ENGLISH II DOCUMENTS. MUST BE TURNED IN BEFORE LAST MONDAY OF EACH 9 WEEKS.

Monday- JFK Assassination Journal- 150 words- use textual evidence to support and cite correctly. Read and analyze Act 5 (pages 1170-1182); begin Act 5 questions due tomorrow


Tuesday- Read and analyze Act 5 (pages 1170-1182); complete Act 5 questions


Wednesday- complete quotes for Acts 4 and 5 and review


Thursday- Julius Caesar Themes: Public Self vs. Private Self; Inflexibility vs. Compromise;

Friendship; Betrayal; Civic Duty; Gender; Manipulation; Pride; Principles - choose one theme

as a group and explore this theme within Caesar with the end product being a sonnet with 2

quotes (cited correctly) that express your theme.
