Mandeville High School:
English I- Gifted and English II- Gifted:
Degrees and Certification Areas: Bachelor of Arts, secondary English Education
I have 8 years of classroom teaching experience.
ABOUT ME: I am a native of New Orleans and graduate of St. Mary's Dominican
High and UNO. I taught at St. Mary's Dominican for 7 years before moving to
the Atlanta area in 2000, after my first son was born. From 2000-2011, I
stayed home with my two sons, earnestly learning about autism and its
treatment/education options to help my oldest son develop to his potential. I
also began working part time at Sylvan Learning Center in GA, returning to
classroom teaching part time in 2011 at St. Rose Academy. My husband, two
sons and I moved to Mandeville in 2013, and I taught ESL at Lakeshore High in
2014. I am delighted to be back full time in the English high school
classroom at Mandeville High, and I am eager to get to know my gifted
students and to help them reach and demonstrate their academic potential.
My mission is to help my students develop as active and creative thinkers,
speakers, and learners who are at ease with analyzing all forms of literature
and writing, while demonstrating excellent writing and research skills.
