The Kiwanis for Kids 1 Mile Run/Walk & 5K Race

Calling All Skippers!  The Kiwanis for Kids 1 Mile Run/Walk & 5K Race benefitting Project Graduation will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 in Old Mandeville. Come out and support Project Graduation in this fun community event! The high school with the most participation will win the Spirit Award. Mandeville High won this award last fall and we hope to repeat this honor! There will be prizes, refreshments, t-shirts and more! Come out and walk or run and support our Mandeville High Graduates! The student club at MHS with the highest percentage of participation will win $100 from Mandeville Project Graduation. You can fill out the attached race registration form and turn into Student Services or you can mail to the address provided on the form. If you have any questions, please contact Ashley Burbank at aburbank@charter.net

"Hand's Free Zone" in Effect inside of Mandeville School Zones!

The city of Mandeville has begun installing the "Hands-Free Zone" signs in the school zones within the city limits of Mandeville.  The posting of the signs make the new state law (L.R.S. 32:300.8) enforcable immediately during the times when the school zone is in effect.  We wish to make the public aware so that they pay special attention when approaching a posted school zone by keeping both hands on the wheel, both eyes on the road, and avoiding the attached fine that can range from $175.00 -$500.00.

(This is a press release from the Mandeville Police Dept.)

First Day Packet Reminder!

Hello MHS parents! Just a reminder to turn your PTSA first day packets in (to Student Services). PTSA benefits the entire school and this is the only time we ask for donations. We sponsor mini grants to the teachers and clubs, school improvement projects, great informational meetings (TOPS, ACT, SAT, etc.), 2 Skipper Scholar Breakfasts, 2 Breakfast of Champions, Landscaping projects, Library Books, Teacher Incentives and more. We cannot do this alone and really need the support of the MHS community.

Mailing List Updates in Progress!
Thanks for your patience while we add/delete email addresses to/from the e-flyer list.  All updates received will be complete this week.
