I am very happy to be in my 5th year here at Mandeville Jr. High. Before
that, I taught for 4 years in Wake Forest, North Carolina, and before that I
taught for 10 years at Bel Air Middle School in Maryland. I have always
taught 7th and 8th grade social studies. I received my teaching degree from
Salisbury University and my Masters from McDaniel University, both in
Maryland. In 2003, I earned National Board Certification. In 2007 I earned
my certification in Gifted Education.
I am married and have 2 daughters. One lives in Maryland and one lives in
North Carolina. I have a grandson who turns two on August 25. I also have a
yellow lab named Maggie, who, as we like to say, has a great deal
of "spirit".
