REQUIREMENTS
1. Classwork is given almost daily. You are expected to take notes and
complete assignments.
2. Homework is given daily, including Friday. ALL work MUST be shown for
credit. ALL problems MUST be worked for credit.
3. Written tests are given approximately every 5 - 10 days. You are told at
least two days in advance.
4. Quizzes may be announced or not. Be prepared at all times.
5. AT LEAST ONE out of class project is given each quarter.

HOMEWORK/PARTICIPATION POLICY
Classwork and homework may be checked for accuracy or completeness. Keep your
assignments neatly organized in your binder.
Extra Points!!! You will receive five extra percentage points for each test
or project you have signed by one of your guardians (two extra percentage
points are given for quizzes). It MUST be turned in the day after it is
returned to the class. No exceptions! Other bonus points may be given to the
class as determined by the teacher.

WHITE Binder (3 ring, 1.5 inch) #2 pencils with erasers
Looseleaf (regular/wide rule) Red Pen
5 divider pages Colored Pencils
Textbook(s) & Workbooks Ruler (Flexible is strongly suggested)
1 box of tissue (1st hour) 1 roll of paper towels (1st hr)
The math department welcomes donations of sets of four AAA batteries for use
in the class sets of calculators.
Pre-algebra and Pre-algebra Honors will use the TI-73 calculator and Algebra
I will use the TI-84 Silver Plus calculator. Class sets are provided for use
in the classroom.

GRADING SCALE and BREAKDOWN OF GRADES
A = 92 - 100% Assignments & Assessments = 80%
B = 83 - 91% Exam = 20%
C = 74 - 82%
D = 65 - 73%
F = 0 - 64%

CLASSROOM RULES
1. Be seated and ready to work BEFORE the tardy bell rings.
2. Show proper RESPECT for others and their belongings.
3. Bring ALL necessary supplies to class daily.
4. Keep all edible and non-edible devices out of your mouth at all times,
including gum.
5. Obey ALL school rules in and out of the classroom, including dress code.

CONSEQUENCES
1. Verbal Warning.
2. Team discipline letter with alternative learning assignment.
3. After three team discipline letters any additional disciplinary measures
will result in administrative review, possibly resulting in Saturday school,
In School Suspension (ISS), or other possible consequences.
4. Major rule infractions will result in administrative review immediately.
*Failure to return alternative assignment and signed discipline letter the
next school day results in doubling the assignment. If negligent for a
3rd day, the offenses are submitted to the office.

Anyone may access the homework each day on the web; it is updated daily. The

refresh your browser to get it to load.) You may reach me by e-mail at

several times a day, usually including the evening hours. If you have a
question about an assignment after school, please use my e-mail. Your
guardians may also be able to reach me by e-mail or they may call the school
