The students are working on chapter 11 in their books. They are getting
notes and will have a test in the near future. The aspects of this chapter
is Andrew Jackson's policies. These include his dealings with tariffs,
States' rights, banking, and the Indian Removal Act.
Coming up Monday, November 16, Social Studies Fair packets will be sent
out with each student. Please look at these with your child and sign the
sheet attached. The Fair is in the third nine weeks but it is a large
portion of their grade and it is a large under taking. Dates will appear
here as necessary.
It would be wise to purchase a white project board soon. Many schools
will be using them for social studies and science fair projects. I believe
that our school's bookstore will be selling them, also.
