Mrs. Risher’s Rules and Expectations

To ensure a smooth, well-functioning classroom environment, the following
rules are necessary for students in the computer lab.

1. When class starts or I am giving instructions, you should be in your
seat and attentive. Don't worry you will be assigned a computer before
you know it. You may only move around the lab if you have completed your
work and are helping others (You are to check with teacher first).

2. Students must bring all required materials to class each day.

3. Students may NOT bring in personal disks or CD’s for use on these
computers. A disk will be provided for you.

4. DO NOT download any files. By the way, no student is allowed to use
the Internet in this classroom without having a signed Internet
agreement on file with the school.

5. When you do have a signed agreement on file, you may NOT liberally
use the Internet without permission during class time unless it is part
of an assignment. This will include chat room. Chat rooms are a BIG NO-
    NO!

6. Students may NOT print from the Internet without permission.

7. Students may NOT modify any settings in the computer. This includes
printer settings, screensavers, desktop wallpaper, and desktop icons.
If you accidentally change something, notify the teacher immediately.

8. If your computer freezes or does something unusual, notify the
    teacher immediately.

9. Disk for each student should be placed on the keyboard when finished
so that the teacher can pick them up at the end of class.

10. FINALLY, students should take responsibility for their own work
space. Meaning? Clean up after yourself. Work area should be kept
clean from scrap paper, misprinted papers, and homework assignments
should not be left on desk. Otherwise it will be discarded at the end of
    the day.

What if I don’t listen to these rules?

No warning will be given. This paper serves as your personal warning as to
what is considered acceptable behavior in the computer lab. Other rules may
apply as well, so pay attention when computer information is given during
class.
