WEEK OF NOVEMBER 16-20, 2009
Friday, November 20, 2009
We have a busy Friday which kicks off with Mass at 8:30am. This is our annual Grandparents Day Mass, and all Grandparents are invited to attend. After Mass, we will move outside (weather permitting) to the rear of school to enjoy performances from Mrs. Becky's PE classes. The students have been preparing for a few weeks for their Rhythm and Dance segment of PE and are proud to perform it for their families. Once this is done, all are invited to visit the Library for the Family viewing of the Book Fair as well as visit the classrooms to see their students learning environment.
THIS IS A SPIRIT SHIRT DAY AND A BROWN BAG LUNCH DAY!
No school lunches will be provided so please make sure your child is either sent a lunch in the morning or brought one by Grandparents when they come. We are allowing fast food lunches on this day. Students can be checked out by family members on the class by class sign out sheets that will be set up in the cafeteria after Mass is over. There is NO child care on this day (Friday).
Our Thanksgiving break will be from November 23, 2009 to November 27, 2009. Students return to school on November 30, 2009.
MICS along with 4-H will be participating in Care Packages for Soldiers with Blue Star Mom's. Blue flyers went home Thursday with examples of items being collected.
We have begun collecting Coats for Kids through the Kiwanas club. This is a wonderful way to clear your closets and give those jackets and coats that no fit to a needy child. A collection box will be set up in the cafeteria by the end of the week.
