About The Teacher

Hello. I am a native of Clarksdale, MS...the Delta...home of the blues.  I am 
a graduate of Alcorn State University, with a BS in Biology and Chemistry.  I 
am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, INC., Beta Beta Beta National 
Biological Honor Society, Beta Kappa Chi National Scientific Honor Society 
and Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society. Tri-Beta is dedicated to improving 
the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending 
boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Beta Kappa Chi 
purpose is to encourage and advance scientific education through original 
investigation, the dissemination of scientific knowledge; and the stimulation 
of high scholarship in pure and applied science. Alpha Kappa Mu is an 
American collegiate honor society recognizing academic excellence in all 
areas of study.  These organization all produce publications that introduce 
new teaching styles, ideas, and research in science.  I will use these 
articles and publication enhance the learning process of the students at MHS.

Mission

My mission is to educate and enhance the minds of the students at Monterey 
High School. I am determined to reach them and teach them.  If they can 
believe it, they can achieve it.

This year, I will engage your child in science through hands-on, field trips, 
and lab experiments.  Each class will have at least one experiment per week.
