About The Teacher
Fall 2010 marks my sixteenth year as a classroom teacher, and I still love my job! I graduated from summa cum laude from Louisiana State University in 1991 with a B.A. in Pre-Law (English and History focus). I earned a Masters degree in Secondary English education from Louisiana Tech University in 1993. I have taught at Caldwell Parish High School, Ouachita Parish High School, Tensas Academy and Franklin Academy. This is my sixth year teaching at Monterey. I currently teach English IV, English I, Fine Arts, and 6th grade reading enrichment. I am the sponsor for the Student Council and the junior high Fellowship of Christian Students. I also coach the junior high cheerleaders. My two children and I are proud to call the Monterey community our home. We are members of New Harvest Church in Monterey and are involved in numerous community projects and activities.
