ABBOTT AND FENNER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
We will be awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year. Applicants should apply by June 15, 2012 by
submitting an essay on the topic found on the following website. Full details are also available there.

AXA ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for students that are active in the community, have led projects that benefits others, or have
overcome personal challenges. Studentscan qualify for either a $10,000, or $25,000 scholarship.

BATON ROUGE AREA FOUNDATION

Requirements include a 2.5 GPA, part-time work of 15 hours per week, community service, and financial need.

CHASE LOUISIANA SMART START SCHOLARSHIP:
Eligibility: Senior; African American; demonstrate financial need; admitted to a LOUISIANA 4-year college.
Requirements: Written essay; recommendation letter; transcript; financial aid form; ACT/SAT results no later than December.
Other: 20 scholarship winners; obtain applications materials from

CITI SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST!
Write a creative essay for a chance to win a scholarship. Citibank will award more than $35,000 in college scholarships to 
11th and 12th graders who submit winning essays. Two (2) grand prize winners will each receive a $15,000 scholarship
check for college tuition. Five (5) second-prize winners will each receive a $1,500 scholarship check for college tuition.
 Ten (10) third-prize winners will each receive a $200 scholarship check for decorating a college dorm and/or college supplies.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program is dedicated to selecting well-rounded students from every type of community across the
 nation. Each year the Foundation awards 250 achievement-based scholarships.

HOW TO FIND SCHOLARSHIPS
Your first and best source of scholarship funding for college will be the Admissions and/or Financial Aid/Scholarship Office 
at the colleges and universities to which you will be applying. If the prospective college offers merit-based scholarships
(scholarships awarded regardless of financial need), the Admissions and Financial Aid Officers will be able to direct you in your
quest to apply for those scholarships.
 
 
 DELTA KAPPA GAMMA SCHOLARSHIP RHO Chapter
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide funds for 1 year to a female student graduating from a St. Tammany Parish High 
School who has made a definite decision to further her education at a university or college. Criteria: Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher;
possess good character and ambitious purpose; 3 recommendation letters; essay.

EBS PEARL RIVER STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP
The Harvey L. Foster Foundation for Science Education is awarding 2 scholarships in the amount of $2000 per 
semester for a maximum of 4 years.
Criteria: Graduate from a high school in St.Tammany, Tangipahoa, Livingston or Washington Parish; 
pursue a degree in a science discipline; enroll at SLU; GPA; test scores; recommendations.

The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the competition.

This scholarship is being offered to students from low-income
families that are wanting to receive their Bachelor's Degree. A

 NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR COOPERATIVE EDUCATION

Students interested in applying for a merit co-op scholarship should contact the National Commission for Cooperative Education (ncce@neu.edu or 617-373-3770) or visit the website for an application. Eligible students must have a high school GPA of 3.5 or better; complete an application including a typed one-page essay describing why you have chosen to pursue a college cooperative education program.

Minority and female students as well as students interested in Science-Math-Engineering-Technology (STEM) are encouraged to apply.

Prospective Educators:
The PDK Educational Foundation annually awards scholarships to prospective educators who have a connection to PDK. 
Eligible students include: High school seniors intending to major in education; who are a member of a PDK sponsored FEA
club at their high school or, are the child or grandchild of a Kappan in good standing or, have one of their reference letters

 WE NEED MORE HEROES. HERO FOR LIFE SCHOLARSHIP 
The Hero for Life Scholarship Program recognizes outstanding volunteer participation in the community blood 
program by a graduating senior. One scholarship of $1500 will be awarded to participating United Blood Services
 high schools in each classification of 5A, 4A, 3A, and 2A as defined by LHSAA.
Eligibility - Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, in good standing with the school.
- Participation in a minimum of two blood drives through blood donation and/or volunteer support.
