INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS COMPUTER APPLICATIONS (IBCA) · $5.00 fee · Notebook or folder with loose-leaf paper, pencil or pen · Technology Agreement--must be on file in library CLASSROOM PROCEDURES/RULES 1. You must be in class seated and ready to work by the time the tardy bell rings. There is zero tolerance for tardies. Tardies will be dealt with in accordance with school policy. 2. Bring all materials to class with you. 3. All seats will be assigned.
4. Everyone is expected to pay attention in class--no sleeping or games will be allowed and no excessive talking will be tolerated. No internet usage or games are allowed. 5. YOU are responsible for the care of your computer. If any unnecessary roughness or disregard is shown as to the care of the computer, proper steps will be taken to resolve it. Computer settings MAY NOT be changed at any time. If any settings are changed, proper disciplinary action will be taken. 6. Keep your work area neat--throw trash in the trash can at the end of class. 7. Textbooks ARE NOT to be taken out of the classroom. 8. Your disk is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. Pick it up from the disk tray at the beginning of class and place it in the disk tray before you leave the classroom. It is not your teacher's responsibility to keep up with your disk. Do not leave it in your computer. No one should handle a disk other than their own. 9. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to turn in all assigned work. If you are absent, go to TeacherWeb.com to check on assignments. 10. Computer assignments can only be completed in the classroom because of the software programs used in instruction. All make-up work must be arranged with the teacher and turned in no later than one week after the deadline without penalty. 11. Cheating is stealing or copying another student's assignments or test answers. The student who copied and the student who allowed the assignment to be copied will receive zeros. 12. Always close your textbook at the end of class. Make sure to remove your disk from the disk drive and place it in the disk tray. 13. Stay seated until you are dismissed and push your chair under your desk. 14. Gum chewing, eating, and drinking ARE NOT allowed in the classroom. If you come to class with any of these items, you will be asked to get rid of them by placing them in the trash can. 15. NO OUTSIDE DISKS OR CD’S ARE ALLOWED INTO THE CLASSROOM. 16. Courtesy and respect will be shown at all times in the classroom. If you wish to be called on or if you have a problem, raise your hand and I will get to you as quickly as possible. 17. Each student will be allowed two passes out of class per nine weeks. Once you have used your two passes, DO NOT ASK TO BE ALLOWED OUT OF CLASS. GRADING 80%--daily work 20%--nine weeks exam FIRST SEMESTER UNITS
