Fall Semester 2008
Grading Policy
• Tests, quizzes, projects, and essay grades are calculated using
total points method. These types of assessments, including homework and
class work, make up 80% of your total average. The exam is worth the
remaining 20%.
• All missed work must be made up within ONE WEEK of the student’s
return from an absence. It is the student’s responsibility to schedule all
make-up work. All tests are scheduled days in advance and posted on
teacherweb; as such, any student present on the day of a test will take that
test!
Homework & Classwork
• Every student begins each quarter with 50 points in each category.
Missing homework and/or not participating in clearly defined class
objectives will result in a loss of 5 points for each occurrence.
MATERIALS:
• Loose leaf paper (plenty)
• French/English dictionary
• Blue or black ink pens
• Colored grading pens
Please bring all materials to class every day!
