Upcoming Events....

1) Friday, Dec. 5th - Practice at gym plus from 3 to 4 pm

2) Saturday, Dec. 6th - We will be traveling to Wayne's gym in Walker, LA to practice with him 

- Meet at NHS for 9am to carpool. We will be at his gym from 10 to 12 noon & then arriving home
- Girls CAN NOT drive we need parents to carpool

3) Tuesday, Dec. 9th - Big Sis/Little Sis Christmas Party will be after practice 

- Each girl needs to bring a $15 to $20 present of thier choice for thier sister

4) Wednesday, Dec. 10th...
     
      - 3 to 4 pm practice at gym plus 
      - 6pm Varsity Christmas Party 
         * We will play "dirty santa" and each girl will need to bring a $15 to $20 present 
         * Each girl will also be given a dish to bring to party

5) Dec. 12th DRESS REHERSAL practice from 3 to 4 pm @ gym plus

6) Dec. 13th @ 12 noon leave for Monroe

7) Dec. 14th competition in Monroe

8) Sadie Hawkins Dance - Saturday, Jan. 10th from 7 to 10 pm 

- All Competition girls and parent volunteers need to be at school for 8 am to decorate the 
cafeteria, commons area, and entrance into dance. We will stay at school until all decorations 
have been done. 

- All girls MUST bring a parent volunteer to chaperone the dance or you will receive 5 demerits. 
All underclassmen MUST arrive to dance by 7:15 pm. SENIORS do NOT need to arrive until 7:30pm. 

- Each girl needs to bring a 12 pack of the soft drink of their choice or 12 pack of water to 
the dance. Parents sell drinks & other concessions during dance. 

 * Pre-Sale: $6 for single or $10 per couple
     * At Dance: $8 for single or $12 per couple

1) Mr. MVP (Most Valuable Panther) Contest- ???????????????????????? 

All girls & parent volunteers (1 per girl) need to be in the auditorium at 3pm to set up. 

I have 3 former & current pageant winners that are going to judge. 


2) White Elephant Rummage Sale - ????????????????????
*** had to be reschdueld due to many families of cheerleaders going out of town ***

Sale will be from 9am to 1pm in the NHS Cafeteria

This is basically a HUGE garage/rummage sale to earn money for competition & we will need parent 
volunteers to help organize and sell items. The band festival is the same day at NHS and we are 
expecting a LARGE crowd. 

All competition girls are responsible for bringing as many items as she can possibly bring to 
help earn money for the team. Please ask any family member, friend, or neighbor if they would 
like to donate items to our sale. Miss McGinnis will be asking the NHS teachers & PTA if they 
can help donate. We will also advertise event in the local papers. 

We will start setting up the cafeteria at 8 am & divide the cafeteria into categories like 
kitchen, furniture, bedding, bath, shoes, women's clothing, men's clothing, toys, etc. THIS WILL 
BE A LOT OF WORK BUT WILL EARN LOTS OF MONEY!!!   

PLEASE BRING ALL ITEMS MARKED WITH PRICES!!! THIS WILL MAKE OUR JOBS A LOT EAISER!

Competition T-Shirts - ALL $$$$ and company logos are due on Friday, January 9th 

All competition girls are required to sell at least $100 of advertisements for the competition 
t-shirts we wear to Disney & school. 

Flyers for t-shirts will be distributed after state competition. 

If you do not sell your advertisements you will have to pay for them.

GOAL: 28 competition girls x $100 each = $2,800.00

7 double bed rooms have been reserved for the girls @ $69.00 per room = $18.00 per girl
All girls will be also having the all you can eat breakfast bar set up for just for them @ $7.00

Each girl MUST pay $25.00 by Friday, November 21st *** NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

•	school will write one check for all girls to hotel 
•	team rooms were tax exempt 
•	there is an indoor swimming pool & game room
•	check in is when we arrive around 6 pm 
•	check out is at 12 noon

Rooms have been set aside for parents. When calling to book a room the reservations are under 
Northshore High School Cheerleading. Parent rooms are 1st come, 1st served and are $69.00 + tax. 
The doubles are going fast and they may only have singles available. The breakfast buffet will 
NOT be available for parents, but there is a restaurant on site or you may order room service.  

Live Oak & Brother Martin Cheerleaders are also staying here.

Louisiana UCA Regional Competition Itenerary

	Saturday, December 13th …

*** MAKE SURE TO EAT LUNCH BEFORE ARRIVING & BRING SNACKS FOR TRIP *** WE WILL ONLY STOP FOR 
BATHROOM BREAKS!

12:30 pm – All girls should be done with ACT & need to arrive at NHS by the auditorium.
12:45 pm (or earlier) – Depart from NHS and head to hotel
•	MUST wear long sleeved shirt with jeans bring sweatshirt if cold
•	Hair must have yellow Ashlee ribbon in it
•	You will wear this all day until we arrive back from dinner
1 pm to 5:30/6pm -  Arrive at the Holiday Inn Monroe Conference
6 to 7 pm – Check in hotel, unpack, bathroom break, etc.
7 pm – Meet in lobby to go to dinner
7:15 pm to 8:30 pm – Dinner at Olive Garden @ 4781 Pecanland Mall Dr, Monroe, LA Tel: (318) 322-

•	Have reservations for 40 people so family members can eat with us * 
9 pm to 11 pm – Free time for girls!!! CAN NOT leave hotel & must check with Ms. Nicole before

	Sunday, December 14th…

6 am – Wake up call for all girls
7 to 8 am – All you can eat Breakfast Buffet in the Evangeline conference room for all of the 
girls. 
8 am to 10 am – Pack, load up cars, & get dressed for competition
10:15 – 10:45 – Review Competition Routine @ hotel
11 am – Everyone meet in lobby to leave for Ouachita Parish High School; Room check out
11:15 am – Leave hotel & head to Ouachita Parish High School
12 noon to 1 pm – Check in for competition
1 to 4 pm – Competition 
•	New Uniform w/ Navy Bodyliner
•	Silver Bloomers & Travel Pants (if cold for travel, but not during competition) 
•	Competition Bow, hair in pony tail. ALL HAIR MUST BE PULLED BACK
•	Cheer Shoes & Navy Rimmed Socks
•	Poms, Megaphones, & signs
4:20 pm – Leave Monroe & head home

         - NATIONALS IN ORLANDO, FL!!!! Feb. 4th to Feb. 9th - DISNEY WORLD - 

              * ALL GIRLS MUST RIDE BUS --- NO EXCEPTITIONS!!!

              * There will be extra seats on the bus for family. If you would like to ride 
                please let me know ASAP! Some seats have already been taken. 

              * We will leave on charter bus Wednesday, Feb. 4th from NHS around 10 pm and 
                arrive in Disney between 10/11 am Thursday morning 

              * We will leave Disney Monday morning Feb. 9th, after breakfast & head home on bus 

              * A DETAILED SCHEDULE of events will be sent out at a later time

Donations for Ashlee...

Several people have asked about making donations. An account in Ashlee’s name is setup at 
Central Progressive Bank (CPB) on the Northshore. Anyone can go into a CPB branch and make a 
deposit into this account. If you experience any problems, please contact Christian Fajone at

SENIORS - You are responsible for providing the following items for your book to the 
underclassmen who are creating them. Scrapbook, any items you would like in book, pics from past 
you would like, and anything special to you that you would like to treasure. 

UNDERCLASSMEN - You are responsible for getting the items from your senior, taking pics 
throughout the year to put in the scrapbook, providing nice scrapbook pages, ribbon, or items to 
put in book, & turning in the scrapbook 1 week prior to our banquet.
