This is the basic rubric I use for my essays/stories. Some of the elements
change based on the writing assignment. For example, the portion about
organization changes for short stories.

The scale in percentages: 6 = 100%; 5.5 = 97; 5 = 93%; 4.5 = 90%; 4 = 85;
3.5 = 82; 3 = 80; 2.5 = 75; 2 = 70; 1 = 60
