CHECK THE BULLETIN BOARD IN THE CLASSROOM FOR TIPS ON CONTENT AND FORMAT FOR
YOUR REPORT. REMEMBER, YOU MAY WRITE A REPORT ON ONLY ONE OF THE ARTISTS
EACH MONTH.
May Artist of the Month reports will be received until May 15.
Fine Arts Survey classes will be working on indivdual projects called "The
Artists' Picnic" beginning May 1st. Students will research a given artist,
determine his or her style of art and prepare a placesetting of paper plate,
cup, napkin and placemat in that particular style, so that if that artist
were invited to the picnic he or she would be able to pick out his or her
place at the table simply by looking for a placesetting that represented
his/her style. Research is due by May 6, the placesettings must be finished
by May 15 and on exam day, each student will present an oral report about
his/her artist (based on the reasearch already done), display and explain
his/her placesetting and write a critique of another student's
placesetting. Although you will be welcome to do some of the work at home,
all materials necessary will be provided and it will be possible to complete
the project completely
during class.
