About The Teacher

Hello My name is Fabian Herrera. This will be my third year at Northwestern 
elementary year. Last April my wife and I celebrated our one year wedding 
anniversary. She is also a first grade teacher in the Bursley elementary 
school district.I have learned so much from her over the past years and I 
can't wait to implement  it in my own classroom with your children.
This summer we started our own small business and plan on getting bigger 
while working full-time as educators. 
Every summer I have the privlege to return to my hometown of El Centro 
California to visit my family. It is located at the southern border of 
California.Growing up in El Centro allowed me to travel to Mexico frequently. 
I lived in Mexicali, Baja California for five years from age 4-9. I travel 
down there to lern more about my own culture in 
order to come back and share all my new knowledge with my students. 
I enjoy teaching young children, especially the Spanish language. Not being 
from Louisiana made me realize what an amazing impact I can have on these 
childrens lives at such a young age. 
I want your child to learn, experience, and appreciate the Spanish language 
and Latin culture.My focus for all students to learn and 
retain the numbers, letters, greetings, and colors. I plan on accomplishing 
this through units that are already being taught in thier classroom.
