I have been a teacher for past thirteen years. I taught in East Baton Rouge
Parish for three years, Livingston Parish for nine years, and this will be
my second year in Zachary Community Schools. I am looking forward to
another wonderful year at Northwestern Elementary. I have been married for
eleven years and have two beautiful sons ages four and eighteen months.
Mrs. Rachel D'Arensbourg: I started working for the Zachary Community
Schools last year as a long term substitute teacher in Pre-K. I loved Pre-K
children so much that I decided to stay!!! I earned my B.A. degree from
Southeastern La. University in 1999. I have been married 10 years and have
two brilliant girls ages eight and four years. Some of my passions are my
wonderful weenie dog, Tommy, LSU football,the visual arts, all things
Disney, and traveling with my family. I was born here in Zachary and I am
glad that I live here today. I am very dedicated to our wonderful city and
it's future...the children of Zachary!
I want all of my students to be as independent as they can be, and to
develop
to their full potential. I want all children in my class to want to come to
school and have fun while at school. Education is a journey, not a race.
