Hello Parents and Kindergarteners!!
We are beginning our "Thanksgiving/Food unit." We will be talking about
healthy foods and food groups this week. We will then lead into discussions
and activities about the Native Americans and Pilgrims.
We will be making "Stone Soup", pumpkin pie, and popcorn.
Please send a plain white t-shirt to school for us to dye and decorate for
Thanksgiving.
*Practice sight words: to, the, my, a, like, look, you, are, go, I, see
*Homework will start coming home on Tuesdays in a "homeowork packet." Please
do the activities and sign and return the packet on Fridays.
*Remember to read from their Reading Journals when they bring them home and
then send them back to school. Sign these pages after you listen to them
read and track the sentences.
*We are going on a field trip to the Library, Fox's Pizza, and LeBlanc's on
November 18. The cost of this trip will be $4.oo. We will also be going to
the Kringlewood Christmas Tree Farm on December 8. The cost of this trip
will be $6.oo --(this includes the bus and tree). You may send the money for
both trips together if this is more convenient. This would be $10 and you
can write one check.
