HOMEWORK Read to your children everynight. Talk to them about the cover of the book, the title page, the author and the illustrator. Let them use the pictures to help predict what the story will be about. Continue to work on patterns at home. Use different Christmas candies, candy canes, or Christmas bows to sort, graph, and make patterns. You could write dowm numbers and they could count that many objects. Let them draw pictures of what they get for Christmas and then write about these. Ask them to retell the nursery rhyme -Little Jack Horner.
