Homework

Your child is bringing home a
Kindergarten Reader A-Z. There is a collection of
poems/songs/recipes,etc. that your child can read, sing and cook with you. I
will indicate on the Homework each week what letter(s) we are covering so
that you can practice the correct ones. The alphabet will be included to
practice letter recognition and the sounds that represent them. There will
be "Sight Words/High Frequency Words" when your child is ready for them.
Have someone read aloud the sentences to you and then you read to them.
Remember to go from the left to the right as you read aloud. Please "finger-
point" each word as you read.
Have fun!

         Oct. 13- Oct. 16
Practice reading the sentences from their Reading Journals daily. We have
covered Tt, Ff, Bb, Mm, Nn, Cc, Aa, Ii, Rr, Oo, Gg, Dd, Ss, Ee and Uu We are
introducing the letters Ll and Hh this week. It is important that the
journals come back to school each day as we use these in class as well.
They should know the letter names, as well as, the sound that represents each
letter.

TUESDAY – Practice writing the letters Ee and Uu. Read mini book “People Who
Help.”
