Skills and Themes:
*"You Are My Sunshine"- a study of Louisiana, it's symbols, and Mardi Gras!
*Recognizing numerals 0-10 and counting using one-to-one correspondence
*Vowel letters
*Letters we have learned: Tt, Bb, Ff, Ll, Hh, Kk, Nn, Mm, Ii, Rr, Uu Pp,
Jj,Cc, Aa, Oo
*Characters of a story, main idea, and sequence of events
*Writing first name
Change of Clothes: Some children need long pants and long sleeve shirts to
keep at school in their cubby.
Home Practice:
Please have your child practice writing his/her first name. (Initial letter
is capital, the rest are lowercase.)
Practice the letters of the alphabet that we have covered so far this year
(see above list)
Field Trip:
Our next field trip is February 28th to the LA. Arts and Science Museum.
I can take 3 chaperones. Let me know if you want to go.
Supplies:
We would greatly appreciate donations of paper towels, Kleenex and Lysol
disinfectant
spray (we have a lot of runny noses).
