Our school expectations for each child  are:

Week of  Oct. 4-8

These are the skills we will be working on this week:

language arts:

Recognizing, writing and learnng sound of letters Rr and Ii
Writing our first name with capital and lowercase letters.
Reocgnizing spacing between words in a sentence.
Counting words in a asntence.
Ending a sentence with a period.
Beginning a sentence with a capital letter.
Clapping syllables in Rr and Ii
Making sentences with words beginning with Rr and Ii
Beginning to blend sounds to make words: ex cat, can, fan, fat
Word families -an, -at
Sight words I, see, can, the, a ,like, we, he
Review all letters and sounds learned so far = Tt Bb Ff Mm Nn Cc Aa
Dictation of -at and -an family
Dictation of CVC words using vowel i
Beginong to write sentences, ex: I can see.  I can see a cat.

Math:
Calendar activities each day
Reognizing and ordering numbers 1 - 9
Copying, extending, creating patterns
More, less, equal

Small motor skills
Cutting on a line with scissors
Coloring inside the line
Holding a pencil correctly

Literature:
Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom = book and DVD

Science/Social Studies
Introduce Community Helpers
How they help us
