Assistant Principal - 9th & 10th Grade

My name is Darlene Simons and this is my fifteenth year as an educator in Caddo Parish. I am the newest member of the Northwood High School Administrative Team. Prior to becoming assistant principal of instruction at NorthwoodHigh School , I was a classroom teacher ( Ridgewood, Walnut Hill, and Youree Drive), Professional Development Specialist, and Middle School Math Supervisor for Caddo Parish Schools. I have a wonderful husband of twelve years and two daughters (Heather, age 9 and Savannah, age 6). I am making a commitment to all members of the Northwood High School community to ensure that all students at NHS gain the necessary skills for success in either college or the work force upon graduation. I am very proud of the accomplishments our faculty and staff have received over the years. Northwood is truly a school to watch as it continues to grow and improve every year. I look forward to working with each of you in the future.
