Also, thank you to Lindsey Evans and Whitney Harris for your unselfish contribution. The pageant was a great success. Attention Teachers and Students: Our Northwood night at Vince’s Northport Restaurant will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, April 8th from 5:00 pm until closing. Go to Vince’s – let them know you are from Northwood, have dinner and we will receive 10% of the profit. This will benefit our SWPBS. It would be wonderful for all clubs, organizations, students, parents, and community members to support our school at Vince’s tomorrow night. Last Saturday, the Northwood Color Guard competed in a JROTC Drill Competition in Mesquite, TX. At the conclusion of the competition, our two Color Guard teams failed to take any trophies, but one of our cadets did. The last competition of the day is a “knock out” drill competition. There were approximately 75 competitors from over twelve schools competing in the “knock out” drill. During a “knock out” drill competition, drill commands are given and cadets that do not execute the drill movement correctly are “knocked out” of the formation. The last cadet remaining in the formation wins. This year, the last cadet standing was Northwood’s own Emily Welch. Congratulations Emily! Congratulations to senior cheerleader, Britney Ferguson! Britney was selected to the co-ed cheerleading squad at Northwestern University. She will be cheering for the Demons this fall. Way to go! We are proud of you!!
