What time should my child be at school?

Your child should be at school between 7:30 and 7:45. However, a
child is
not considered tardy until the 7:55 bell rings.

What do I do if my child is late for school?

Please try to have your child at school on time. Most of our
instructional
time is during the early morning times.
If your child is late for school, you should check in at the
office
and get a tardy slip for your child before sending him/her to the
classroom.

What if my child is sick?

You may call the office and let us know what is wrong with your
child
or you may send a note with your child when he/she returns to
school
telling us why your child was absent. Your child should not
return
to school until he/she has been free from fever for at least 24
hours.

Does everyone have to take a nap?

Everyone has to take a nap or rest quietly. We nap for about an
hour. We
listen to soft music or stories on the tape player while we rest.

Is my child allowed to bring a pillow for nap time?

Your child may bring a VERY SMALL pillow (8 X 8 or smaller) to
lay on.
Pillows stay in your child's backpack until nap time.
Your child may also bring a small blanket to cover with.
These stay in the backpack until nap so it has to be able to fit
easily with the folder.
