The kindergaren classes will be going on a field trip to the Kent House on Thursday, November 19th. We will leave school by bus at 8:30 and returen around 10:00. Parents are welcome to meet us at the Kent House at 8:45. Please see permission slip sent home in your child's folder today.(Monday)

Thank you to those who have sent paper towels and hand sanitizer. We appreciate your help! Please continue to send these items occasionally. We should be okay with the hand sanitizer for awhile, but we will be out of paper towels soon.

Wednesday - Veteran's Day - NO SCHOOL

Please be sure to put YOUR child's name on sweaters, jackets, sweatshirts, coats, etc. before they wear it to school. They get lost very easily and it helps if there is a name in it.

This week:

Reading -identify sound position; identify and isolate beginning, middle, and ending sounds; introduce consonants Bb and Kk; review sight words and sounds; build sentences; blend sounds to make words.

We will continue learning color words: red, green, blue, black, brown, orange, yellow, purple, white, pink

Sight Words -new words for the week-me for. Review - to, the, my, I, a, like, go, he, come, here, this

Math - numbers 1-20; students should be able to recognize these numbers in random order. They should also be able to write down the number when called out. We will also practice counting objects to 20.

Religion - Thank You God!

Social Studies/Science - Thanksgiving

Fine Motor Skills - We will continue to work on fine motor skills, such as writing and cutting all year.

Homework- Practice identifying beginning, middle, and ending sounds in short words. Practice sounding out short words. Practice finding sight words in sentences. Please be sure to look at papers sent home in your child's folder. This is one way to see how your child is progressing. If your child has corrections on his/her paper, please go over that skill with your child.
