Also remember to send $ for our Advent project(OLPS kindergarten student in the hospital in New Orleans) and the secret gift from you know who. Thank you. They are due December 15. Please don't let your child see it.</FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>Short Music Christmas concert in Olinger Hall at 8:15</FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>Please be sure to put YOUR child's name on sweaters, jackets, sweatshirts, coats, etc. before they wear it to school. We will be finishing Christmas projects and having fun!</FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>Reading -Ll & Hh sounds; identify final sounds and sound position; review sight words and sounds; build sentences; blend sounds to make words. </FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>Sight Words -new words for the week <STRONG>one & see</STRONG> - Review - to, the, my, I, a, like, go, he, come, here, this, me for, where, do, you, look</FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>Math - numbers 1-20; students should be able to recognize these numbers in random order. They should also be able to write down the number when called out. We will also practice counting objects to 20.</FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>Religion - Advent</FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>Social Studies- Christmas</FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>Fine Motor Skills - We will continue to work on fine motor skills, such as writing and cutting all year. </FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4><FONT size=5><STRONG>Homework</STRONG></FONT>- Practice identifying beginning, middle, and ending sounds in short words. Practice sounding out short words. Practice finding sight words in sentences. Please be sure to look at papers sent home in your child's folder. This is one way to see how your child is progressing. If your child has corrections on his/her paper, please go over that skill with your child.</FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>-read book that is sent home</FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=4>-Always review sounds we have learned.
