Mrs. Kitty
I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from Hendrix College, and I
have
taught and set up school programs in Flordia, Tennessee, and Arkansas before
coming to Louisiana. After moving here, I taught 2nd grade at Our Lady of
Prompt Succor for 2 years, and was Director of St. James Episcopal
School for 12 years.
Our family moved to Alexandria from Conway, Arkansas, in 1988, when my
husband Ron was appointed to be Federal Administrative Law Judge with the
Social Security Administration. We raised and educated our two
children here. Our son Ash died at age 27, living and working at Sun
Valley, Idaho. Our daughter Rachel attended Prompt Succor while I taught
here. She now lives in Fayetteville (with our beautiful granddog Lizzy) and
works for the University of Arkansas.
God has given each of our children goodness. These children are also born
needing to be loved and willing to love. Finally, each child has a natural
curiosity. We hope to help the students keep their goodness through our
loving patience and through teaching a foundation for Christian experience.
And we hope to encourage the children to develop their natural curiosity
into
a lifelong enjoyment of and search for learning and understanding.
