Accelerated Math is an extremely beneficial program that we started last year. I assign each student up to five objectives based on what we are learning in class. Each student is given a "Practice Assignment" which they complete with guided instruction. They "practice" until they are successful and then are given a test to show mastery. The students work the problems on the computer generated worksheets and then transfer the answers onto a scan card. The "bubbled in " answers get scanned through our very own scanner and the TOPS Report is printed giving them immediate feedback on their answers. The TOPS Report is stapled to the Practice Assignment and any missed problems are reviewed. The stapled papers will come home in the AR/AM Folder. You must review, sign, and return the TOPS Report in order for your child to progress to the next practice assignment. We experienced great success with this program last year and anticipate another productive year.
