When my child misses school should I send a written excuse?

Yes, please. I would like a written excuse. It states in our
handbook, "Teachers are not obliged to administer make-up tests
to an absent pupil unless the student's absence was due to
illness or some grave reason." Please make sure I am aware of
the reason for absence.

Do I need to call the office for my child's assignments?

When your child is absent, please call the office by 8:30 or 9:00
so I can be aware and write the assignments as we go. I do
expect the student to be responsible for the missed work.

What time should my child arrive for school?

The first bell rings at 7:45. I begin our day at this time. The
children begin their morning work at the first bell. On Mass
days I line the children up and lock the room right after the
first bell.

When is a good time to meet with you?

Please make an appointment so I can be prepared and give you my
full attention. If you try to meet with me during school (7:30-
3:00) I will not be able to take care of my students and help you
at the same time. Please send a note or call me through the
office or at home to make an appointment.
