Welcome to K-2!! 
 
      Novemeber 30 - December 4:

REMINDERS:  Please remember to put names on all sweaters, sweatshirts, and 
jackets!!  Wednesday, Dec. 2 is our Can Drive.  Please drop bags of cans near 
the covered walk in the morning.  We will begin our Advent Project next 
week.  We will send information about what we are doing soon!  I hope 
everyone will participate!  We will have our Christmas Party Dec. 18.  
December 18 is also a half day and there will be no After School Care!       
 
UNIT: ADVENT

READING:  We will be discussing the vowel sound /o/.  The short and long 
sound.  We will be discussing -ot, -og, and -op words.  Please go over these 
word families!  We will also be introducing our sight words: do & where.  We 
will also be going over rhyming words and decoding words.
 
Some are having trouble with these words.  Please study these words each 
evening!!!
Sight words:   
          I       a       my       the        like       go        can  
   to       come     here     me        for        do         where

MATH:  We will be discussing numbers 1-20, we will also be going over odd and 
even.

RELIGION:  We will be discussing Advent.

WRITING:  We will be practicing writing lower case letters.  We will also be 
practicing writing names.  PLEASE PRACTICE WRITING NAMES AT HOME!  We will 
also be sending home homework to practice, please return the next day!
