Snack Week
Each child is responsible for snacks for a week. We have 14 children in our class. During morning snack I try to include one item from at least two separate food groups. For instance, we may have cheese cubes with grape juice. Fruit, veggies, pudding, applesauce, cheese, or crackers are just a few suggestions. Please plan enough snacks for 14 children. You may bring the week's snacks on Monday morning or you may send it daily. A large container of milk or juice is preferred over individual boxes. Please do not send Hawaiian Punch or any Kool-aid type drinks. Also, remember that no peanut butter snacks are allowed due to allergies.
We have plenty of napkins and plates, but please supply spoons, bowls, and cups as needed. Occasionally, I will ask that you send recipe ingredients instead of a snack. I will send a list. The ingredients will count as one snack day. I will send a note to remind you of your child's snack week. You may check the class calender for your child's snack week. I have also included the theme for the week if you would like to coordinate your snack. If you would like any suggestions, please ask.
