My Teacher

My name is Donna Hardee Barbe. I am very excited to be at OLPS for another
great school year!!!! I graduated with a BA from Northwestern State
University and currently working on my Masters Degree in Early Childhood
Education. I plan to graduate in May 2010!Yipee It has been a very long road -
but do see the bright light now! This is my 10th year to teach and I have
loved every second of it! I began my teaching career at St. James Day School,
where I taught Pre-K for 2 years, then onto St. Frances Cabrini School Pre-K
for 5 years, and 1 year of Kindergarten at Rugg Elementary School. I am very
thankful to be back in the Catholic School System for the past 2 years! I
already love it here at OLPS! I definitely see lots of wonderful things
happening in my life this year! Just can't wait to share it with you all.

I am married to Jeff Barbe and have four beautiful daughters. My two
beautiful daughters - Tyler, a Sophomore Varsity Cheerleader at
Menard, and Tori, a 6th grader at Brame Middle School and Jeff's two
beautiful daughters - Alex, am 8th grader at Brame Middle School, and Gracie,
a 4th grader at Phoenix. I have lived in Alexandria for 17 years. I am
originally from Natchitoches. I am proud to call Alexandria my HOME. God is
good!

My favorite color is purple and I just adore LADYBUGS! I probably could eat
my weight in Crawfish!

Mrs. Sharon and her husband, Steve, have four children, Stephen, Matt, David,
and Grace. She enjoys working with small children. She has been at OLPS for
12 years!!! Her favorite thing to do is eat at a good restaurant.

Mission For The Class

Our mission for Pre-K 3 is to create a safe, loving, Christian environment
for your child to learn and grow. We believe that children learn by example
and it is our goal to be a positive role model each day to help them develop
a strong foundation for their academic future at OLPS.
