About The Teacher
I am a mother of one son, Jace, who will be attending LSU this fall. Go Tigers! He is my only child, and I will miss him! This year I am entering my 23rd year of teaching. 16 years I taught in St. Bernard Parish, and the last 6 years I have been teaching at William Pitcher. I love working with the children at William Pitcher and feel that I am truly blessed to be a part of the Pitcher team! I'm excited and eager to work with my new 7th and 8th graders this school year! Besides teaching 7th and 8th grade ELA, I will also be working with our 21st Century after school program at William Pitcher. The group is called the Junior Corps Service Learning Club. They will spend the afternoon hours working on homework as well as completing service learning projects within the community. My mission for this year is to inspire my students to gain a love for learning in a safe, supportive,learning environment that recognizes individual needs in order to enable all students to become successful as they prepare for high school.
