What nights will my child have homework?

Your child will NOT have homework on Wednesday nights or weekends. You 
should check your student's assignment book EVERY Monday,Tuesday, and 
Thursday nights. Upcoming tests/quizzes will also be listed in the 
assignment book.

When are signed papers due?

They are sent home every Monday. You have two nights to review papers before 
your child is reprimanded for not returning them. We will be glad to give 
you more time, but we must have a written request. You also have two days 
for progress reports and report cards.

What happens if my child doesn't do their homework?

They will spend their recess time inside with one of the teachers and 
finish all incomplete assignments.

Can my child wear a coat/jacket that isn't navy blue or uniform?

They may wear it OUTSIDE the building ONLY. They will not be permitted to 
wear them in the building. It's much easier to buy the required coat and be 
able to wear it at any given time.

Is Accelerated Reader required?

Yes, and your child has a goal to meet each week. They should have at least 
2 points at 80%. They have independent reading time each day, and they are 
allowed to test at any time we aren't doing a lesson. Open check out is also 
encouraged during free time.

How do I schedule a Conference?

You may call, email, or write a note requesting a conference.

Do I need to pay the $5.00 technology fee?

Yes, it is necessary for the school to purchase ink, discs, paper, software, 
and computer equipment to help our students. If you do not pay your child 
will not recieve his/her report card. They will also not be allowed to 
purchase candy.

May I call you to change how my child will get home from school?

No, all bus or car changes must be made in writing. You may send a note with 
your child or come to the school to fill out the form. Remember ALL car 
riders must have a car-rider tag.

Mrs. Turner's homeroom goes at 12:03
Mrs. Shilling's homeroom goes at 12:06
You are welcome to come eat with your child any day! Cost for adults is $3.00
