WELCOME TO THE PONCHATOULA HIGH CHORAL DEPARTMENT!

The Ponchatoula High Choral Department has a long standing tradition of 
excellence.    Students compete at all district events and move on to state 
competition.  Students in the top groups move on to the college level and 
receive music scholarships and become professional musicians and life long 
learners.   Students who are interested in auditioning to be part of this 
program need to contact Mrs. Bagur for more information by calling 
474.8835.

REMINDERS:

Concert Season is Here!
December 1st – Chamber Singers to FBC Ponchatoula to sing for Christmas 
luncheon for widows.  Wear your formal gowns and tuxedos!   You can change at 
10:30 in the choir room.  We will return before 6th hour.

December 4th- Concert Choir and Chamber Singers be at Berryland Motors at 
6:45 dressed in long sleeve green PHS shirt and jeans.

December 5th –Concert Choir and Chamber Singers need to be at Madisonville 
Town Hall at 5:30pm in green shirts and jeans. We will be leading the town in 
Christmas caroling and perform a few of our songs.

December 6th – Chamber Singers to Thompson Funeral Home.  Call time 12:30 in 
formal gowns and tuxedos.

December 12th – ALL CHOIRS mandatory rehearsal.  YOU MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE to 
perform in the concerts on the 14th.  1-3pm in auditorium

December 14th – ALL choirs to perform two assemblies for school wearing black 
concert attire.  6pm call time that evening in auditorium for community 
concert. MANDATORY.

December 16th – Chamber Singers to Kawanis wear black concert attire.

Reminder: Choir fees are past due.
If you have not paid your choir fee yet, get it in today, it is months past 
due and you are on the fine list until the fee is paid!     
  				    
Beginning Choir Fee: $10
Concert Choir- $20
Chamber Singer $25

Select Students who were selected to attend the National Honor Choir in 
Hawaii, please go to www.honorchoirusa.com for more info and to register.  
This is NOT a school sponsored activity this is done through a national 
organization.  Mrs. Bagur is the state sponsor for all Louisiana choir 
students and will be attending.  Please register and make first payment 
ASAP!  There are 12 more spots available.  Don’t delay!  THANK YOU!

The choir has a new fundraiser this year that will continue throughout the 
year . See a choir member about our electronic recycling program.  We are 
collecting old ink cartridges, cameras, phones, ipods/mp3 players, laptops 
etc. Help the enviorment, charities and our choral program by donating these 
items.  Thanks!
