<DIV align=left> Reading: "African Americans Inventors" (No test on the story) Skill: Comparing and Contrasting Grammar: We will cover adverbs and complete several review activities Spelling:  No test or Spelling homework this week! Math:    Chapter 11:  Adding and Subtracting 3-Digit Numbers (continued)     Science:  We will review butterfly facts and the butterfly life cycle in class.   A very simple quiz will be given this week.  Most of the studying and reviewing for the quiz will take place in class. Social Studies:  Unit 4:  Our Country Today  (continued)   We will complete this unit by Wednesday.         Tests: Wednesday - Social Studies Thursday - Math (Chapter 11) Notes/Reminders: 1.  Our Water Park Day is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16.  A reminder note about what to bring to school was sent home on Friday.  I'll send a second note home with the students on Tuesday.  The Water Park  is a treat for all students who completed at least five of the eight "I Think I Can" assignments that were sent home for homework. 2.  Our A.R. Breakfast for Second Grade is on Mon., May 14.  Congratulations to all the students who achieved their A.R. goal at least 3 out of the 4 nine weeks! </DIV>
