Teacher’s Notes
The students are doing very well with AR books and testing. Students are
expected to take at least two tests a week. We have volunteer moms that come
three days a week to help with testing and we also have times where students
can test most days of the week. Encourage and remind your child to read their
AR books!
Have you heard about the “100 Word Club”? In an effort to improve reading
and motivate students, last week I started checking students to see if they
could read 100 words! In a few weeks all students will be in the 100 Word
Club as we will have learned 100 vocabulary words. Whats next? The 200 and
300 Word Clubs!! This is a voluntary extra program to motivate readers and
challenge experienced readers. Students interested in the challenge will be
given the word list to practice. The first 100 words are mostly words we have
already seen this year.
