Does my child have a military obligation if he/she is enrolled in Army JROTC?

NO!  Army JROTC is a high school elective subject.  There is no military 
service obligation because of Army JROTC.  Also, JROTC satisfies the state's 
requirement for Physical Education (PE)

Does my child have to buy or rent the Army Green Military Uniform?

NO!  The Army uniform and all its items are provided by the US Army.  Once 
issued the uniform, your child becomes responsible for its care and 
cleanliness.  The uniform MUST be returned at the end of the school year, if 
your child transfers to another school, or is disenrolled from Army JROTC.  
Lost or damaged items "might" have to be paid for by you or your child.

Are there extracurricular activities for JROTC cadets?

YES!  JROTC cadets can try out for, practice with, and participate in 
competitive events, color guard members for football games, parades, and 
other events.

What is JROTC Grading Policy?

20% of grade is for Leadership Lab - - Drill & Ceremony; Uniform Wear; 
Inspection; Physical Training & Cadet Challenge.  40% for Homework; 
Classroom Work; Tests & Quizzes.  20% for mid-term and semester exams.  20% 
Instructor Evaluation - - Total Cadet evaluation.
