FAQ

Email me some questions and I'll start listing them! :)
  1. May I turn in work late?
  2. What is your email address?
  3. What is my participation grade? How do you adjust it?
  4. How are grades broken down?

May I turn in work late?

No. I will not take work late unless one of the following applies:
1. You have
extenuating circumstances that you have already discussed with me and notified
me about them as soon as you were aware of a problem.

2. You were absent. You have as long as you were absent to make up your work.
EX: You miss 3 days of school, you have 3 days to make up your work.

3. You have been assigned HEAT and made up the work during this time. ThisONLY
applies to certain assignments. Tests, major projects, and essays do not apply
here.

What is my participation grade? How do you adjust it?

Your participation grade can affect you on many levels. However,
it's mainly just your participation in class. For example, if you fall asleep
during an audiobook, I take points off. I also keep a record of how often
students answer questions during discussion. If at the end of the 9 weeks, you
have not contributed at all, I take points off. I usually take 5
points off at a time so it is very important to participate as much as
possible. Contribute your thoughts and opinions to the class! It makes
learning A LOT more fun! :)
