Algebra II GiftedAll students have to have to entries in their journal every week about what we covered in Algebra II. Monday, October 26, 2009 Objective: Using Properties of Exponents – the students will be able to evaluate and simplify expressions having powers. They will properties of exponents to solve problems (some real life type problems). Work: Page 326 3-15, 16 – 52 eoe, 54, 55. Tuesday, October 27, 2009 Objective: Evaluating and Graphing Polynomial Functions – the students will be introduced to polynomial functions, terms describing them and evaluating them by using synthetic division. They will be able to graph polynomial functions by finding end behaviors and key points. Work: Page 333 4-14 all, 81, 82. Wednesday, October 28, 2009 Objective: Adding, Subtracting, and Multiplying Polynomials – the students will be add, subtract, and multiply polynomials. They will use these operations to simplify and solve problems. Work: Page 341 4-12 all, 64, 65. Thursday, October 29, 2009 Objective: Adding, Subtracting, and Multiplying Polynomials – the students will add, subtract, and multiply polynomials. They will use these operations to simplify and solve problems. Work: Handouts. Friday, October 30, 2009 Objective: The students will work on multiple choice questions in the computer lab. The questions will be put into a program called QuestionMaster. Work: none. |
