Orientation--Teacher introduces rules and procedures to be followed during all class activities.

Lineup—Roll Call

Warm-up

Students practice skills at their designated table.

Table Tennis-Grip of paddle-forehand, backhand, and the serve.

As skill levels improve students will be able to play competitively.

Students compete in winner’s court competition.

Assessment:

Through Observation—Help students improve proper techniques used to perform necessary skills that will allow each to compete in game competition.

Warm-up

Students are expected to perform:

Proper Grip

Proper Footwork

Ready position

Backswing

Forehand Stroke

Backhand Stroke

Students practice these skills in small group activities.

Students that are capable of performing the proper fundamentals will be allowed to drop and volley the tennis ball in doubles formation.

Students that are capable of serving, volleying, and are able to keep score will be allowed to play games.
