<DIV class="msonormal c4 c1" align=left>Dear Parents-  For the week of May 14-18, the three week unit is I Know A Lot! and this week theme is Let's Count Down. We will  discuss summer.The sight words are I, can, me, the, like, a, see, go, to, have, is,  play, are,  for,  you, this, do, and, what, little, said, here, was, she, he, has, look, with, my and reviewing me and where.  The letters are m, a, s, p, t, i, n, c, o, h, d, r, e, b. l, k, u, g, w,  v,  x,  j, q, and reviewing y and z.  We will recognize the letter, sound, and words that begin with the letter.  We will identify the date and count to it.  We will identify the number of total days we have been in school. You can help your child by showing the alphabet to them and review the letters and sounds. Have them count to see how high they can go, then tell them the next number. Show them two digit numbers and discuss what the numbers mean.  Read to your child.  Have them retell the story.  In a book, find and read the sight words together.  Have them find the letters we have learned and discuss the sounds in the word.  Help your child learn their birthday, phone number, and address.  Talk with them about rhyming words, the beginning sounds they hear in words, and say all the sounds in a simple three letter word.  I will be testing them for end of school tests and report cards.  Homework-  (1) Write your  name the way you do in school, first and last name. (2) Write three word that start with y and z.  (3)  Write two sentences using me and where.  (4)   Write a word that rhymes with cat, book, see, and care.   Homework is to be done with  parents.  Homework is due on Friday  Do a  little each day.  Homework can be written on the back of this page. Award Day will be Monday, May 21 at 1:00.  I will provide a special snack.  Parents are welcome.  Fun Friday will be replaced with Fun Every Day.  There will be playtime at the end of the day for those that keep green lights or  blue stars.  I hope everyone can play every day.
