<DIV align=center>WELCOME TO FOURTH GRADE After 30 years of teaching, I am retiring at the end of this school year!  It has been a wonderful adventure and I've enjoyed each minute of it.  I wish the best to all of my students and I will keep up with the happenings and Sixth Ward in the future.   Parents - Even though the Leap Test is over, it does not mean we have stopped learning. We have 4 weeks of school left and I plan on covering new Reading stories and reviewing Math concepts.     Make sure to check out this website each week to learn what we will be doing and your assignments for the week. </DIV>
<DIV align=left>PARENTS - Make sure you check your child's DAILY FOLDER each night. They should have the list of spelling words, Reading vocabulary words, and a copy of the homework sheet. It is vital that they do the assigned homework in order to help them review what they've learned in class. Each week you should check in at this website to see what our class will be learning.  It will also contain your homework assignments for the week.  
<DIV align=left> LEAP TEST INFORMATION It is critically important for you to understand that, regardless of the grades you earn during the 4th. grade year, you MUST score at or above the passing level on the LEAP test in English Language Arts AND Mathematics to be promoted to the 5th. grade The passing level for 4th. grade is defined as a score of Basic or above in either English Language Arts or Math AND a minimum of Approaching Basic on the other section.   </DIV></DIV>
