TOPS-Tech
Award
TOPS
Tech Award was designed by the Louisiana Legislature with the sole intention
of promoting a skilled workforce in Louisiana.
The TOPS Tech Award is offered to qualified high school graduates and provides
up to two years of skill or occupational training, to be pursued at an
accredited Louisiana
postsecondary institution that offers a vocational or technical education
certificate, diploma or non-academic degree.

TOPS-Tech
Early Start Award
This
award is an incentive for Louisiana’s
qualified public high school students to start early in preparing for a career
in a Top Demand Occupation (See Links). Recipients of this award will pursue
occupational training at a public college while still enrolled in high school
(dual enrollment), giving them an early start toward acquiring an occupation
that is in high demand within the state.
