Volunteer Guidelines:  Adult volunteers (ages 21 & up) are mandatory to make Project Graduation parties a success.

The following committees are in need of help for the Graduation Parties for the Class of 2017:

  • Volunteer/Chaperones Night of Party: Sign up to work on the night of your schools party. Parents/guardians are needed to help throughout the night. Must be 21 years of age & over. Contact your schools party chair to sign up or get additional information. Shifts to work are 10:30 p.m. to Midnight and Midnight to 5:00 a.m. Parties cannot happen without parental support and volunteers. MANDATORY PARENT MEETING - date/time/location to be announced.
  • Reservations & T-Shirts: Sell reservations and distribute T-Shirts at your own school on assigned days as determined by your Party Chair. Must be organized and keep accurate records.
  • Games- Help to refurbish old games and build new ones as needed. (Work closely with Salmen Party Chairs) Decorations - Plan & create decorations according to design layout and theme. (Work closely with Salmen Party Chairs)
  • Welcome/Check-In - Assemble Student Check In packets and work party night to check in all participants from your school. Volunteers should arrive by 10:15 p.m. on the night of their respective party if working in this area.
  • Volunteer Coordinator - Line up and schedule parent volunteers from Junior & Senior Class (at your school) to work at your schools' party. (Freshmen and sophomore parents are also welcome to help)
  • Fundraising - Solicit cash & in kind donations. Work closely with Fundraising Chair. Prizes - Shop, Shop, Shop. Work closely with Prize Chair from Slidell High School.
  • Food: Pick up food as directed by your Party Chair. The food pickup is done for a partner school's party (i.e., Slidell picks up for NHS). You will NOT pick up food for your own school. (Work with PJP Party Chairs)
  • Set-Up/Clean-Up -Assist with set-up and clean up for ALL parties (Dates/Times will be announced)
  • Security -Serve as a "Security Volunteer" on the night of your school's party to man all entrances/exits and help ascertain students are alcohol/drug free upon entrance for your party night.
  • Publicity - Work within your school community to promote Project Graduation by PTA newsletter articles, student written newspaper article, take pictures of your party on party night.

If just one young life is saved, it is all worthwhile!
