Beginner Band is our 4th grade band. The Concert Band is made up solely of 
5th graders.  Symphonic Band is made up of 6th-7th grade students, and is 
our top band at St. Clement.  All three groups consisently earn superior 
ratings at local and regional festivals.

Our Symphonic Band has been invited to attend prestigious concert band 
festivals across the country, including the Grand National Ajudicators 
Festival.  In its 30 years of existence the Symphonic band has earned many 
awards and honors including recognition by the Women Band Director's 
Association, the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation, and the John Philips Sousa 
Foundation.

Jazz 2 is a group comprised of 5th-8th graders.  It is open to any non-
beginner who plays piano, drums, guitar, bass, trumpet, trombone, or 
saxophone.  Any student who wishes to be in jazz band, and who does not play 
one of these instruments, is invited to learn a second instrument for Jazz 
2.  Please see Miss Abby if you have any questions about this 
process.  Jazz 2 rehearses every Tuesday from 3-4 pm and competes in 
statewide festivals when the calendar permits.

Jazz 1 is our top jazz band.  It is comprised of symphonic band(6th-8th 
grade) students and is open by invitation or audition only.  This band is an 
actual class at St. Clement, and meets every Thursday from 2-3:30.  It is a 
travelling group and has been honored and awarded many times over the past 
two decades.
